This is the beautiful Koyasan. We stayed on the border of the cemetery in a buddhist temple. The giant cedar trees were breathtaking, the canopy let little light in, creating a mossy, deep place of rest. Some memorials had been swallowed up the the enormous trees, and when you peered into the cavity of a tree, you could see the old carved stones. The gravestones wearing bibs and the comfort the souls of small children and babies. Captured by C.
