This photo was taken of me when I was three years old. My Dad's best friend worked up in the Northern Territory with the National Park Service as well as working alongside the local indigenous people. The young girls in the picture came to visit my parents with him, all the way from the Northern Territory. (That's about 4000km away, or 2,500 miles - that's a really, really long way away when you're three) I was thrilled to meet my new friends and have a distinct memory of this moment actually happening, not just from the photo.
